Living in Bochum, working in Dortmund, and meeting a cooperation partner in Essen all in the same day—no problem. The cities of the Ruhr area form one vibrant metropolis, where our paths with partners inevitably cross. Collaboration is the most natural thing in the world for us. Not only because distances here are short, but also because we know that we can only tackle the pressing questions of our time through a joint effort. With over 400 global partnerships, we optimally prepare our students and staff for scientific and social challenges as well as for future job markets. This vibrant exchange infuses our campus with an international spirit and inspires new ideas both here and there.
